Rwandan Lawyers Honor Murambi Genocide victims

Over 100 lawyers through their Rwanda Bar association on Monday afternoon visited the Murambi Genocide memorial site as part of the 21st Genocide commemoration activities.

Lawyers honored the memory of the 50, 000 victims at Murambi Genocide victims with a minute of silence.

“It’s important that we honor the victims and survivors of this terrible tragedy and ensure that we prevent future atrocities from being committed,” said Athanase Rutabingwa, the representative of the lawyers’ forum.

Philbert Nyamagabe Mugisha, the mayor of Nyamagabe district Rwandans should not forget the genocide and the victims.

He also said that the human community should ensure that Rwanda ever suffers such systematic destruction again.
